*She screams and begins to thrash about as the human approaches but stands with her head lowered and peering at the girl with her white-outlined crystal blue eyes. Seeing the water poured in she snorts and tosses her head, pawing the stall floor with an angry hoof. She shys at the hay and the sound of the grain, glaring daggers at the girl as she treats her hoof. Red nares flared, the mare screams and rears once she is free again, banner thrashing. She sees the girl back up and heaves a deep sigh, reluctant to put too much weight on her injured leg. She bends her fine neck to inspect it, kicking in the air to try to dislodge the foreign object. She blinks, fine head low, silky forelock draped across her eyes. She stays back against the far wall of her stall, eyeing the human warily. Suddenly she throws up her head, making her mane fly and screams, stamping a hoof. She rears again before pacing the stall, kicking at the walls and snuffling through the bars, looking throuh them at the outside world. Her intelligent eyes betray the knowledge that outside is freedom. She looks over at the human. There is death, not freedom. She snorts and tosses her head, staming a hoof again*
