She picks her way over to the hole she had created in her stall and slips through it. She takes no time to adjust to life without walls and whinnies, nares flared in exitement. With plume raised, the white fetale begins to make her way away from the farm, overjoyed to be free once again. But until she is out of sight from them, she is not safe. Hunger pangs in fetale's stomach and the mare stoops to paw at the snow, eating the frozen grass beneath. Taking but a mouthful, the mare looks back at the farm, no regrets showing her her firey blue eyes. The mare blows softly before beginning to graze once more.
