-the wrangler knew it was the time of year to turn horses out, he would not try for the mare this time but he would keep her in mind. The stong, young man rides his mount on a slow walk through snow, occasionally glancing back at the spirited mare, indeed an excellent horse was she. He feared though with all the horses about, there would be no nutrition left for the tamed ones so he would either have to drive the horses away or try and capture them-
