Subject: Gosh this has been debated, they've had several spirited ones at the JAGged Pack LOL! I believe that they were intimate before going to McMurphy's....they both were so relaxed & in a sense glowing at McMurphy's, & I think they got a little lovin' in before they met everyone & made their announcement. Both were relaxed, happy & just radiated inner peace & contentment.

[> [> [> David did say that he wanted them to focus more on the relationships in the show, and he was disappointed that they didn't have time to do a proper ending to a story line they'd been teasing us fans about forever. CB also said that despite Harm and Mac being like brother and sister at times that you'd think they would have gotten together by now (at the time she did the interview). I wonder how they would have handled it with the mush between them as CB said he was like her brother, if they had had more kissy scenes. -- Theresa, 23:25:56 02/08/07 Thu

[> [> [> [> Catherine said it was awkward and wierd when it came to the mushy scenes because they thought of each other as brother and sister. I would think it would be very odd to kiss someone you view as a sibling figure. But Catherine also said in the same interview that they were professionals, so you just do you job. So I'm sure that if there would have been more kissing scenes they would have done what they had to do being professional actors. Take Care! :o) -- KH, 07:49:49 02/09/07 Fri

I know Catherine has said in another interview that the cast and crew viewed each other as siblings on the set, but I can't speculate or speak for what kind of relationship they had in real life, only they know that. [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> I think the problem is where alot of people have a hard time separating publicity from real life. CB actually only said these comments once on Et. (the rating one for Lifeline and the other in Gocp). These are all publicity comments and are used to get people tuned in and talking and not to be taken seriously. -- Kathy, 13:31:47 02/13/07 Tue

As someone who served six years in the army, it was the relationships with the people you served with that was more important than the job.

When I was stationed in San Francisco, a group of us would go out to one of the many restaurants once a month. These would be long 2-2.5 hour lunches.

Many of the meals we(8-10) ate were together. By the way we ate hospital food most of the time. It wasn't that bad because he usually ate it when it was hot.

As for Brother and Sister, that was probably more so because they were both happily married. They didn't need to fantisize about the other.

Of course as I have stated before I don't think having Singer, NC, who is DJE's wife on set help matters.

I just think DB blew it big time here.

Harm and Mac's relationship was what drove the show. When they were close, the ratings were up. When others were in the way, stories began to suffer and fans didn't watch.

DB had a chance to show America that being in the military wasn't just about killing people, not just about a job, but it was a way of life.

That being in the military didn't mean giving up on having a normal life with a family.

They did it with Bud and Harriet, they could have done it with Harm and Mac. If anything the show probably would have been better.

If the reason not to was that one of them would have left Jag, that probably wasn't true. If anything it would have ensured that they stayed together. Their occupation was lawyer.

There are that many places where Jags serve. They mentioned in season 7 that senior Jags don't usually serve aboard ship.

ANd as our good buddy Teddy Lindsey said Harriet made a TDY or TAD assignment permament. How can it be??????

Your comment about the brother/sister reasoning is way off base. They are actors p, actors and actresses don't fantasize about each other to do their job. They are professionals and they do many different kinds of scenes together. There have also been many actresses and actors that couldn't stand each other that were love interests in a show or movie. It's a their job and it was awkward for them because they looked at each others as brother and sister. Being happily married (which is obvious) has nothing to do with them doing their job.
