Subject: I also think the way they brought in the Vukovic character wasn't the smartest in the world either. Chris Beetem is a cutie and I think if they would have brought him in differently and maybe a Marine of say Bud's rank it would have been a little easier. They also made him a Harm of season 1 (that's why I found it amusing that people complained about him to some extent. It was Krennick and Harm in reverse, and that's one of the reasons I hated season 1, because of Harm and the acting was awful.) I think what CBS should have done was tell Dpb upfront this will be your final season and they could have set it up differently, but you can only work with what they give you.

Jag wouldn't have ended any differently because CBS didn't give Dpb any time to prepare for the end. CBS led him along with a possible renewal by trying to go for a younger demo and a fresher look.
