Subject: I agree with a lot of what you say here, Kathy, but not about Vukovic being Harm of season 1. Season 1 Harm was dashing, and a bit of a womanizer, but he was never sleazy or disrespectful the way Vukovic was. Jennifer (below) may be right that they were trying to do a Tom Cruise transformation on him, but they never had time to show him as anything but deplorable, IMO.
In reply to: Kathy 's message, "I also think the way they brought in the Vukovic character wasn't the smartest in the world either. Chris Beetem is a cutie and I think if they would have brought him in differently and maybe a Marine of say Bud's rank it would have been a little easier. They also made him a Harm of season 1 (that's why I found it amusing that people complained about him to some extent. It was Krennick and Harm in reverse, and that's one of the reasons I hated season 1, because of Harm and the acting was awful.) I think what CBS should have done was tell Dpb upfront this will be your final season and they could have set it up differently, but you can only work with what they give you." on 12:31:21 02/15/07 Thu

[> [> [> [> ITA with you, Deemus. Vukovic was kind of the anti-Harm. He didn't have charm but thought highly of himself. He didn't respect anyone unless they earned it (in the military respect is a given, losing it is earned). Just a real turn-off. I dated a guy like that - once.
