Subject: Season 10 was not JAG's finest hours as many of the core characters we had grown to love were replaced by an influx of too many I did not care about. (Not to say one could not eventually get to care about them). Inside...

There were some good episodes and I did like the addition of General Cresswell. To be expected to embrace, Cammie, Mayfield, Graves, Vukovic, Mrs. Cresswell et al was a bit much. Although Mac drew me in to JAG, Harm and Mac had a dynamic I enjoyed watching. Whether they frustrated, entertained, saddened or maddened us, that duo is what made JAG tick along with their strong supporting cast.

Though the main characters were there I felt most of the time we were only seeing their shadows. At times the navy seemed to be sailing without a captain at the helm and the usual continuity was lacking. We got new episodes yes, but they seemed to be so disjointed and lacked the same fluidity of previous seasons. It was let's try this, no? Well let's try that as we jumped from the new group to a Mac and Harm pairing that left you wondering who are these two and what did they do with the real Harm and Mac?

Like so many others I detested the Mattie arc, so unnecesary. I wished that they ended JAG in style with the remaining cast and then offered CBS a totally different show still military if you wish with Catherine in the lead but maybe stress the marine aspects of the military and get a whole fresh new angle.

Season Ten had so much potential. Was it necessary? Well yes, even if only to bring us Cresswell, the 4% Solution, Dream Team and to see Mac outshoot the General, and of course the last 7 1/2 minutes.

I could be perfectly happy with season ten if I skipped from the hand holding and "we both are" in 4%, to the flashbacks in the finale, to Mac showing up at Harm's door, and saying "Let's talk about you and me." That was the progression of their relationship, they just through a bunch of other episodes in between. -- Theresa, 10:35:21 02/16/07 Fri

[> [> [> Season 10 was necessary except we would have gotten a greater Jag with the main core cast, have the show on creative high and I think if they moved Harm and Mac forward the show would have been fresh and exciting. If this happened the fans would have warmed up to the 90210 Jag. Letting Harm,Mac,Bud,Sturgis etc...shine with some shippery backburner treats our Jag would still going on even today. -- GaryT, 15:14:11 02/16/07 Fri
