When the food is set out she leaves it alone for a long while then eats a few mouthfuls of oats. She paces around her stall for several minutes, snorting occasionally. Finally she returns to her food and finishes the oats and sugar cubes. She eats a little hay but leaves most of it. Retreating to the back of the stall she stands with her head in a corner, tail swishing back and forth over her hind-quarters almost constantly.
