Subject: leads in a Paint mare

he ties Pascal's lead rope to a post and then gets a stall ready for her. he puts in fresh bedding, a full bucket of water, and a flake of hay for her. he takes a long piece of wood from his pocket and takes a can of white paint. he writes "Pascal" on the board and lets it air-dry before nailing it to the stall door. he gives his new mare a thorough grooming before turning her into her stall. once she is in, he locks the stall door and hangs up her halter and lead rope on two large nails inserted into the stall, but the ends do not jut into the stall. he takes a horse cookie from his pockets and gives it to Pascal. he watches as she calmly begins to drink the fresh water. "You and me, Pascal, we'll get along fine. See you in the morning, okay?" he smiles and walks out, locking the barn door behind him.
