I've been looking for a good site for John Hurt for a long time and I finally found this one. It's great you've done a wonderful job here and the pictures are lovely.

I fell for John Hurt many years ago. I think it was 1971 or 1972. I was 16 and watching Masterpiece Theatre on PBS (I think it was shown on MT)in Philadelphia. I saw him in Playboy of the Western World. I have the book Classic Theatre that has pictures of him in it in the part. I thought he was the most gorgeous thing I'd seen to that point and I still do. I'm still crazy about him. He's a great and I think underrated actor in the States.

I love reading all the messages not only from other women who find him attractive, (I honestly though I was the only one!), but the accounts of people who have met him and all say what a lovely guy he is. I always thought he would be, since he seems like he has such compassion and kindness in him. You would have to to be the kind of actor he is.
