With a careless gesture of his hand, a solid breeze sweeps up the glass and desposits it somewhere safe. [He seems to use this a lot of ordinary things. *Grimaces* He has no other times to do it....]

The scarlet on her cheeks strangely interest him, indept to the ways of women is he, and does not perfectly understand why she would change colors.

But he can understand embarrassement and becomes sympathetic. Taking her arm more gently, he leads her to a chair and sits down opposite her. He leans back, as if all the time in the world was at his very command.

"Would you like another drink?" Mal gestures to her empty hands. "You lost yours."

        He blinks and shakes his head before standing up also. "Now that you mention it, a drink would be nice, very nice." I never thought to would be so easy.... But what now? Do I start complimenting her? Do we go our separate ways? He runs a hand through his head, watching her with masked eyes. A slow smile wears away the mask. That's future, what's now is now.         She snatches a translucent flute of magnolia wine carefully, lest it shatter once again. Pivoting on a three-inch heel, she flashes her rarest and most ellucidating smile, having settled into what seems to be a long, uncompromising line of happy moods (which there is certainly something to be said for). "Now," she announces as she takes her seat again, "we have all the time in the world." Which is nice. Yes, it's very nice. This isn't a bad night, on the whole. Except for the damn rain. Her thoughts dissolve gently, or perhaps migrate to the south. Whatever. Daydreaming didn't seem to be necessary right then. Her eyes beam shafts of light as she takes a slow sip of the sweet liquor.
