"Pretty much anything, short of whoring," Selneth replies with a wry expression. "Swords-for-hire, wandering mage with the attachment of his magically worthless 'brother'..."
He stifles Shane's protest of "If you would just learn something, you wouldn't be useless any longer!" before adding, "He may not look like it, but Shane here is a Black-level mage; that isn't something people like to let slip through their fingers, especially when said mage comes with a swordsman in the package."
