...anyone was reading this, and I debated whether or not to leave it up (since I'm a moderator, I can delete whatever I want!) *veg* I'm glad you liked it. Here's the story of how this story came to be. The first chapter was written before I'd even heard of LFN. I'd wanted to write something different and challenging, and what could be more challenging than writing a first-person story from the viewpoint of a thirteen-year-old boy with cancer? (Well, okay - maybe a talking dog, but we won't go there.)

I wrote it in about an hour, non-stop, and it just laid in a document, forgotten for about a year. Then, I saw "Love" and fell completely into the world of LFN. I stumbled across the "P.J." chapter one day, totally by accident, and I wracked my brain trying to figure out how I could work that chapter into a fan fiction (I'd already written "Deep" and "In the Dead of the Night" by then.) Someone at the Writer's Workshop suggested a couple of ideas for incorporating the P.J. chapter into a fan fiction, and I just came up with the rest (thanks go to 'chelle, Dana, ~dawn and Shanola for their input!)

And that's more than you ever wanted to know about this story, I bet! ;-)

Hugs and love,
Cyn
