The Supreme Court order the recounts to stop after myriad tries to figure out a way to give it to Gore. Bush won the recounts every time, and thus, won the electoral votes necessary to become president, according to the Constitution. The democrats spun the lies that the election was stolen, knowing there would be enough fools to believe and thus, discredit Bush. I'm not fan of Bush, but this is the fact.
