It had simply seemed like a dream world she was living in for the past few weeks. Meeting Him, opening up, not being herself, the accident, the hospital, and now...She was in college, with Him [referring to Carson, obviously]. Emerald eyes found the crack in the pavement as she started at it - a deep trance like glare, as if she were in another realm of imagination.
Yet, all of this got her nowhere, back to step one. She had been the stupid one in ignoring him, thinking of herself as she tended to do in more drastic situations. That quirk went all the way back to when her mother died, when all she had to do was fend for herself. She didn't need to care about every one else, she didn't need to help or listen to anyone. Locked up in confinements of her own body, herself.
The delicate portrayal of her mother stood with a deep sigh, slowly moving emerald casted eyes to Carsons. Rosy lips parted as the whirlwind of events that have happened throughout her life [minus a few minior, and some major details] - including her previous thoughts of how she had to fend for herself - spilt out before her. Tears ran down the porcelain looking face as her eyes rimmed with them-yet she continued.
She continued about the details of how her mother died and the last details that she could remember of that night before the tragic accident. Her father drunk, the stubbs on his chin indicating he hadn't shaven in awhile as he hurled fists at her mother. She remembered her mother running over to her, Raven, as she put herself over herbody like a shield to protect her from the intensifying blows her father gave. Taking her (Raven) by the arm and throwing her against a wall, landing sideways with her back onto a coffeetable. Her mother running for her, and moments later carried her and a brown bag into the back of their yard and gather things for a circle. Her mother's witchcraft never seemed to work in her frantic moments, yet it didn't stop her. She poured gasoline around the circle, thinking maybe it would protect her? Raven didn't know exactly what to think that night. If her mother had decided to end it? Or if she thought she could save them both? save herself?
She remembered her last words and the breath upon her ear as her mother kissed her, and told her she loved her[Raven] and promised that soon everything would be alright. Then...then the horrific scenes that will haunt her the rest of her life. The high pierced screamings as the flames circled her mother, burning her alive.

Raven couldn't control herself as she dropped the crutches and quickly sat on the paved step, hands cradling her head. She shook as the wind encircled her, blowing what was left of leaves around her in a small whirlwind of a circle. Her magick hadn't left her at all, tho it seemed to gain, seemed stronger. Was it because her emotions were askew? Her mind lingered within the screaming of her mother as she sobbed and shook.

She had told him slightly about her father...His rapings, beatings, emotional torment, etc... The fierce days of soberness as she tried to stay calm, as if nothing happened. Her father resente her. He blamed her for her mothers death and her for the magick. He never accepted it, and it was only told to him once her mother and father got married.
She barely relized the outside world as it all seemed to close shut. She hated remembering her past, her father, her mother's death... Yet in an instant it was brought forth to the outside world as she sat there dazed, confused, terrified.
"I...I..I think m..my fa..ather is..." another sob, "...is responsible for that fire."
Raven closed her eyes tightly shut and shuddered. She hadn't wanted to bring it up until she knew it was true, but couldn't contain it anymore. Now, perhaps with all that was revealed Carson would think that too. Understand why she needed to see him? more than she understood?
