Subject: I am white.....I do not wish to keep thanksgiving! Author: rachel (confused) [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 22:58:29 11/22/07 Thu So, here it is........I do not agree with Thanksgiving and today was like any other weekday for my household! I do not like what it stands for, it's origin's, tradition's or anything that go's along with it! My children will and do know the truth about it and will never keep it.......I hate the whole history of it and it's pretty sad all together. I can agree with ALMOST everything in this thread however, The hatred towards people in general is not going to solve anything....it's only going to go FULL CIRCLE to the next generation, we need to be an example for our children, showing love, compassion, kindness, and most of all PEACE, HARMONY AND SHARING! WE ARE ALL EQUAL PEOPLE.........It really is too bad that people do not understand the origin's of Thanksgiving but no body is going to even hear you or care to listen when someone is HATEFUL and full of rage about the past. People are only stupid about the holiday because of a lack of knowledge, they do not even know the truth about it and frankly......they may be too wrapped up in their own little world's to ever think "hey...I wonder where thanksgiving really comes from?" It's called PROGRAMING and I am willing to bet that every person on this thread has been programed to believe a lie so, do not judge so quickly!!
