Subject: the beautiful mare danced uopn the cliff top

Quite unconscious of anyone's presence, a mare leapt and danced on the cliff top. Was it the effect of the dawn light, or was she a colour never seen before? As she pranced and cavorted, sometimes the dawn turned her into blazing sunlight, and yet her other side would be dark. Sometimes she moved so swiftly that only her mane, or a shoulder, or her flying tail, were touched with light. The rest of her seemed to be rippling, glowing darkness ... moonglow ...
She leapt round and round, pirouetting with all her four feet close together, spinning and then rearing upwards. Her neat little hooves touched ground softly, silenty. She ceased to dance. She lifted her beautiful head, the breeze gently lifting the blazing forelock from her bright eyes. She called, long and loud. She paused, ears flicking back and forth, waiting, hoping for an answer ...
