Your message is interesting inasmuch as it gives credence to the theory that a fetish, that is dormant for 15-25 years, comes out big time when you reach your manhood. Your fetish provides additional "relief" from your most intimate desires. This theory applies to the majority of men who have some type of fetish.

I could never take my fetish to the point of making requests of medical staffers to indulge me. It's a very private thing for me to be done behind closed doors at home. My feeling is that if I asked anyone in my doctor's office to do that, I would be counseled, referred to a psychiatrist, and discharged as a patient by my doctor. Seriously, this would be seen as very peculiar by most. I'm not saying that our fetish is a problem. Quite the opposite. It's how people perceive it and make snap judgments about you, because of it.

Well put, Jane. When I once jokingly suggested to the nurse at my doctor's office that a rectal temperature would be acceptable after she suggested an oral one, her quick response was, "No, thanks!" It seemed that she had been teased on this subject before, and the medical profession wants no part of rectal temperature taking of adults without special needs. Asking for an RT without need might very well get you removed from the list of patients the doctor wants to have.

This is related somewhat to previous discussions of how to develop a relationship with a member of the opposite sex and then bring up the RT fetish. While some here say that a loving boyfriend or girlfriend will do almost anything to please his partner, the rectal thermometer may be over the top for many. It seems like you first have to find someone who will admit to having an anal eroticism interest and then press on with the fetish scenarios involving RT's, enemas, suppositories, and anal toys. It will be a rare person who has that kind of kink.

I'm not so sure that rt's would even be used on "special needs" folks, in light of the quick and painless gadgets on the 21st century market. I think there will soon be a point where all of your vital signs can be taken without human contact, i.e., via an attached wrist band, etc. The trends have changed so much, I don't think that pediatricians use rectal thermometers anymore, or at least fewer of them than in the past. Love is blind, is only a saying, as is I accept you as you are. Reality sets in after time, and some people really are repulsed by anal anything, particularly if they come from certain religeous or cultural backgrounds. There have been laws on the books in many states, that classify anal sex as a felony. I kid you not. So that in itself, should indicate that there are some out there who would consider any one of us to be in need of psychiatric help.
