Indigo curled up in the large, overstuffed chair near the fire with a contented sigh. Life, since Crickets absence, had been difficult..but finally, things seemed to be going the right way.

Jaeger had stayed all this time, to watch over her. She could not have asked for a better guardian.

Majidah, although having stayed away after Cricket left, was now, finally coming back more, and Indigo, couldnt have been more delighted to see her again.

Mikhal, an old friend of Crickets, had come to stay shortly after her departure, and Indigo was discovering the aches, pains and joys, of her first love. Mikhal, often away, left her missing him deeply.

Sharra was a young thief, who felt at home there, and stayed when she got the chance, enjoying Indigos cooking as did everyone else.

Peter, the young man met at the market, had become a close friend and protector, and near like a brother in an ironic way.

Sky, the man that had so swiftly fallen in love with her, had given her the beagle pup Sugar..and then promptly disappeared when she was stunned at the affection. She wondered often if he would be back.

Garett, the necromancer, and his raven Scratch, were nearby, and occassionally brought her news on the search for Cricket.

Romero and his companion, the large canine, Tosa, lived nearby, and had quickly become her favored company of late. Both watched over her, with a fierce protection.

Still, bad things happened to good people, and Indigo was no exception. A meeting at the market, would lead to her being attacked..and thus to the mans death.
Majidah, Peter, Jaeger, Romero and Tosa..all helped her through it, and she felt more protected than she ever had before.
She smiled to herself as she watched the flames dance. Things would be allright..she was loved, and watched over, and she had all these people to cook for.
Although she missed Cricket a great deal, she was content in her new found freedom.
Even her stolen mule had been found today, with Romeros help..and she had nothing to worry about as the night drew close. She could only hope, that things stayed as pleasant as they were right now, forever.
