Glad to hear from someone down that way. I've seen some really tough competition come up from that track in the past...
We reviewed the rules a few weeks ago and I don't recall there being any major problems. Have you checked out the rules posted here on the board ? I doubt you will have to make any expensive changes. Most tracks engines and transmissions are legal. Only bodys may need a little tweeking.A weight penalty for stick shift and headers help to level the playing field a little. If the rules don't specifically mention an item, then you are free to do it your way. Not like the usual "If the rules don't say you can do It, You can't" found in some rule books. we think the enginuity of the car builder is something to be left alone !Ain't that what "stock" racing is all about ?
We are trying to set this up for a short track, asphalt, less than a quarter mile. The shorter the track, the better. We hope this will be a "driver and handeling" race rather than a horsepower shootout.
We will announce the location well in advance to allow for any modifications that need to be made. We don't expect anyone to "build" a car for this race.We want y'all to be able to race what you have with little financial impact.

see you at the races.

P.S.
Sounds like your track is on the way to recovery. Shows what racers can do if they pull TOGETHER.
