"I'm not worried about human kids, 'cause they're too little to do much damage. But you," he points a claw at Shamia, "are going to have to prove your good intentions before I'll trust you as an adult. Or with a weapon...." his voice trails off, and he looks around at his family.
His mother and father, all dead.... The three youngest hatchlings, and the clutch of eggs, caged up with him and Sulphur.... The little human child, who had set them free.... The same child, older now, killing Ash, trying to kill him and Sulphur.... He shakes his head, clearing his mind of the bits and pieces of memory. He'd never threaten a human child, unless it threatened him first, but once it was grown.... "Humans tend to change as they get older," he finishes, glaring at Shamia. "And I'm not going to trust you until I'm sure YOU don't."
