r u sure that it was Tyr that actually died...he did cange drasticly after the he had the gene transpant..i'm jus guessing here but couldn't it hv been a clone or somthing, to keep others busy...he might jus be waiting for the right time..for him n his son to make a grand appearence!

sure he was self serving..but i don't think the Tyr that was on the Andromeda would have sacraficed the crew ( his only friends) how ever hard he tried to show that he didn't care.
