When Andromeda was but a concept, another series was planned as well - Phoenix Rising, with Bruce Boxleitner under consideration for that Captain. Eventually Andromeda became both shows, and Kevin was chosen for Dylan [afterall it was really too soon for Bruce to go from Capt Sheridan... imho]

While I enjoyed Bruce on B5, I'm not sure I'm ready to see him in another Space Saga yet [sorry Scarecrow!]

How many Sitcom pilots actually make it into a new season? IF by some slim chance Kevin's planned sitcom gets off the ground, who's to say it'll make it to a full season? Others have tried to leave for a sitcom, only to return to their shows when it fell through [Stephen Furst, Vir of B5 is a classic example] So the possibility exists that IF and I feel there is a slim chance of this, IF Andromeda makes it to Season 6, Kevin may well be a part of it.

As to Lexa, the poor woman only gave birth in Sept. She was at the 100th ep party 2 1/2 weeks later. She will be back for the end of the season.

Will they get rid of Doyle? If Sci Fi has anything to do with it, I doubt it. They brought her in, they'll work on keeping her.

Unfortunately all the cast has signed on til end of S5. I've heard nothing about contract talks for more seasons, but then I've been out of the loop for a few years now... Most if not all of the original crew behind Andromeda is gone, save Gord Verheul [DOP and part-time Director as of this season].

Ultimately I doubt it'll be up to the fans as to whether the show continues with SciFi -- it'll be up to the Channel Execs and they're not consistent at the best of times [look at Farscape!]

Just my opinions...
