Discuss it here!" on 3/09/02 9:32pm Thanks Flame, I know everyone's entitled to their opinions and all but when I started this Nitpickers section, I never really expected people to email me theirs! With each new nit I have to go back over the episode and see if it's valid - and after watching an ep 8 times, I'm usually too braindead. Then I get someone mid-season who goes over the 11 eps at once, and I have to go back over all those eps again? Um nope, not unless there's one or two I had never noticed... like earrings suddenly appearing, ears not pointy etc End of the season is worse, I get total season recaps. And this year, now people are giving me two years worth. I hate removing nits that I once believed to be valid and have had up for 1 1/2 years, but I have done it. Now it's begun with the references. People don't know the writers like I do, their influences, their in-jokes. Sometimes a whole episode runs with one theme, sometimes they run to a variety. I usually get feedback from the writers on these, so I *rarely* change, I might add if I feel it helps explain more. Like "In Heaven Now Are Three" Celeste wanted to pay homage to the competition "Enterprise" by having the 3 bad guys Fletcher, Flux and Duran [Tpal] aka Archer, Phlox and T'Pol. Once a week since IHNAT aired I've gotted references to "Duran" and the whole point is that her name was changed... that ref of Duran only really has one meaning and it's been explained. I really appreciate that people want to participate, but some times I'm just too tired - which is why I've stopped updating those sections daily as I would during the season. After formatting all the fan fic, updating all the html, making the new graphics, I just can't reply to each and every email I recieve. Oh well, off to explain to someone what "ICQ" is and why it needs a "skin"... It never ends :) Maigrey [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
