Sorry to keep you waiting my dear, but I needed time to read and digest this properly, and this week has been short on time. I really liked this. I'm not just being nice here, because I find no point in lying about a piece of writing, especially to a friend.
What I think I liked the most about it was the feeling that I was actually listening to you, or someone at least, speak. Most often, any sort of writing falls into that "proper" or heightened English. I think people are worried about others reading it, and want it to sound intelligent and perfect, but in that they lose some of the humanity in what they are saying. I like the feeling of a person speaking to me, or even to someone else, because it feel so specifically personal. In conversation there is no pretense, no worry about the exact word choice. It flows out freely and usually, truthfully since the speaker doesn't have time to edit and censor what they are saying, and so they say the first thing that comes to them. I find that so much more honest.
All in all, good work dear.

love,
Jennie
