Subject: My Great, Great Great, Great, Great Grandmother,

My GGGGGrandmother Elizabeth Hall married my seafaring
Great Grandfather (a ship's Captain he was) when she was only 14 years old and was soon thereafter (as the family story goes)captured by marauding Indians in Dover N.H. But rescued, by the grace of God, the next day by the local militia in Rye N.H. in the early morning hours. There is said to be a marker at what they call Breakfast Hill in Rye because she was rescued by them when the Indians were having breakfast. She went on to have 13 children and lived to be over 70 (quite a feat in the days of the French and Indian Wars). Now what do you make of this brave lass?
