In reply to: Dave G 's message, "Duck Soup" on Tue, Mar. 05 2002, 03:01 am

Here is Chico's counting game, as transcribed in the "release dialogue script" for Duck Soup. I
wonder if this segment was scripted or if it was
merely transcribed by some Paramount secretary in
1933.

Chicolini: Wait, I got it! Rrrrrrinspot, vonza,
twoza, zig-zag-zav. Popti, vinaga, tin-li-tav.
Harem, scarem, merchan tarem. Tier, Tore -

[Chicolini is counted out.]

I did it wrong. Wait, wait, wait! I start here.
Rrrrrrrinspot, vonza, twoza, zig-zag-zav. Popti,
vinaga, tin-li-tav. Harem, scarem, merchan tarem.
Tier, tore -

[Chicolini is counted out again.]

Oh, I got it! I got it! Rrrrrrrinspot, buck!

[He counts out Pinky.]

I'm guessing that was actually a kid's game. I recall
there is an episode of Seinfeld where Kramer plays
this game.
