*He sits in the sand by the water, and the surf runs up past him, then back down, so that he is in, then out, then in the water. He closes his eyes, and seems to lose consciousness. He sits unmoving as he listens to the water's powerful voice. He opens his eyes, and throws a beautiful stone into the sea. He watches as it is swallowed, not to be seen here again. He smiles and walks away, feeling calm*
