Most of all the talk you hear on tv, here, or in the print media is just political hot air.
I've posted here many times that if we were really serious about saving energy and lowering greenhouse gases, all that we would have to do is computer control stop lights and ban driveups. That would do more than all the other nonsense that is proposed and just about nobody would be inconvienced.
The idea that you will get people all over the world to stop driving or turning their heat or cooling up or down is proposterous. Just go into a store that has turned down their AC and listen to the people bitch and walk out the door.
