Date Posted: 22:59:08 12/06/07 Thu In reply to: Oropan 's message, "The idea that humans can change/control the earth's climate is nuts" on 13:20:53 12/06/07 Thu I for one don't truly believe in man made climate change. can we do some localized stuff to a degree with sprawl and what not sure, but this doomsday stuff is way over the top. If we emitted next to nothing into the atmosphere we would still have climate change. The fact that we (or some of us)think we can control everything is something else altogether and it certainly isn't healthy in my opinion. What we can and will do though is contaminate the crap out of land and water which i do have a problem with. We can consume until we're fat and lazy and still come back for more which i also have a problem with. Encroachment in every direction is something else i don't care for. The one thing I'm most happy about is that very little of what i'm involved in goes to a dump somewhere. I'm not hooked up to some vast network of whatever feeding a bunch of corporate hotshots that could care less about anything other then a bottom line. there are certainly things i still need that i depend on the services of others for, but i took my best shot and i'm very satisfied with the outcome. >Does the earth's climate warm and cool?
