with the people who read this. Unless your mother had medigap ins either supplied by Penneys or bought on her own then her hospital bill was not covered in full. SHe would have been responsible for the first 894 dollars of each hospital visit unless they are related. Many people just above the poverty level cannot afford to buy medigap ins nor does the co they work for pay for it . They are not elligble for medicade so they would have to dig the whole 894 dollars out of their pocket plus pay the dr etc 20 percent of what he charged .
