At the same time new york city was in the high 50's, a few places in north carolina recorded readings of 108 - 109, this is an extraodinary difference in temperature for the east coast during summer, even in winter is is rare. We will be having some hot days comming up, but fortunately they are broken by occasionally pleasant days this summer, we have not had any extended heat waves, we are getting "back door cold fronts" from new england and canada. The south appears to be in for a prolonged period of extreme heat, at least it's middle august, the sun is getting weaker and the days shorter. >110 or something. No rain, Code Red smog days, the >South was Hell before the weather got this hot, now >it's just unbearable between the people and the heat. >Sedona in a couple of weeks thankfully.
