Subject: allergic reaction to bleach?

I recently have been fighting with a very bad case of ringworm. I started out applying tea tree oil to it, but then ran out. I ordered more but it took several days to arrive and I didn't want to stop treating the RW while waiting for it. I heard that diluted bleach could be applied to the RW to kill it, so I did that. After a day or two of applying the diluted bleach (1:3 ratio) about 4 times a day to a major portion of my thighs, I broke out with a rash across my chest and part of my abdomen. At the time I assumed that it was also ringworm (more of it) but after treating it for 5 days now with the bleach, there is no change and it just keeps getting slightly larger. My question is this: instead of being more RW, could this rash be a reaction of some kind to the bleach? After using the bleach for a day or two on my legs, could it have caused the rash on my chest & abdomen? And if that's the case, then why wouldn't have I broke out with a rash again somewhere else after using the bleach on my torso?
Thanks for any help - Brit
