heat a house, those that suffer and die from lack of healthcare, those that must chose between food and medicine, those that work several jobs and still are unable to afford healthcare or dental care, those that can't afford to keep fuel in their car to get to work, those that have lost all they have worked for because of a family illness. Plenty of poor around through no fault of their own. Plenty that are not illegals. 50k+? That is not the income of a working poor person or family. Do you really not know any poor people?
