Hi Diana -
Basically what you experienced was phase separation due to temperature. Cosmetic preparations like lotions, creams, shower gels and shampoos have a range of temperature where they are stable. Once they get out of this range they break down. But when they return to their temperature range they return to their normal state. What you should do is keep the shower gel at room temperature (like you are doing) and observe it for a little while to make sure that it is okay. If it doesn't show any other signs of changing, I would continue to use it as before. You might also want to check with the manufacturer to see if they are familiar with what you experienced.
