That was was the shitest race i have ever done, the national courses are shit enough in the dry. but that mud was crazy i had so much shit in my eyes i could not see properly the next day and i had to stop a couple of times cos i could not see jack shit. I think the races need to be run by poeple who can actually ride a mountain bike because it is clear from venue selection that they don't have a clue. National champs should be good because dave pearce is running it at hopton woods, so there will be a proper climb and wicked downhills to scare the shit out of the roadies.
