Subject: In answer to your first question I’d say a resounding nay! It’s an awfully long trek and I would estimate it adding at least half a day travelling time both ways. Would you consider a connecting flight from Heathrow to Glasgow instead? (More inside)

By the time you factor in the cost of the train from Heathrow to London, cab or tube transfer to Euston then the train fare to Glasgow, it may even be cheaper to fly. But I would pay the extra for the convenience and time saved anyway.
