Author: looking for new shoes that fit
Subject: Cavan gold are run larger than the old ones, in both length and width.

Teen dancer has a narrow foot with high arches and has been wearing the Cavan for years, recently got a pair of the Cavan gold and the fit is very different. Toe is wider and the shoe has little to no arch on its own. Dancer would have to go down from a 3.5 to a 2.5 to have them fit the arch properly, but then they sit lower on the heel than my dancer likes. Our local store said that the new hard shoes run narrow compared the old ones, so much that they now keep wides in stock in most sizes.

We are now in the process of looking for both new hard and soft shoes as the one manufacturer closing makes it so what she has worn in the past is no longer an option. If anyone has suggestions on what we should try next that would be great.
