When darkness blankets hope, undercover of despair
and the thick of evil's rope
ties you down and leaves you there...

When the skies are darkly clouded
gray now replacing blue,
and by mist the world is shrouded,
in a clinging silv'ry hue...

See the beacon faintly glowing,
shining hope into the night,
feel the cool wind gently blowing,
bringing word of truth and light.

Hear the lyrics gently calling,
shoving back the beasts of flame,
from the heavens, stars are falling,
putting all of Night to shame.

Motionless she's standing,
chanting words of strength and might,
your fate is hers for handling,
for she's the bringer of the Light.

A soft breeze stirred the newly-fallen
snow upon the ground, further chilling
what cold there was in the air. The
scent of roses wafts to one's nose,
and memories of a warm summer's day
are called to mind. A voice like a
silver flute echos through the lands,
and a pair of emerald eyes watch every-
one with interest. She stands 'neath
the branches of a tall tree, the
brilliant winter sun catching in
her hair and turning it to flaming
gold.
