{patchwork nymph ambled in, looking better then she did the first time she returned. her coat was long and silky, her ribs did'nt show quite as much, and her stride was level and easy. plumed tail waved once and tucked between her hind 'quarters. carven head bobbed gently and rose swiftly into the air, whiskery nose extended up. a shrill howl poured from the ashen muzzle, mournful and hopeful. tuned muscles rippled beneath the tightly woven canvas. the two, amber eyes glanced around the main area of the stables and houses. where were Laddie and Sarah. they wold be upset because she left without a word, but she found someone to help her and returned with somebody new. . . turning the crafted head, whiskery mug brushed against the little child beside her, licking her hand for comfort.}

{a small girl stood behind Keno, glancing around uncertaintly. one head rested on Keno's back and she gripped a tuft of hair there. her long, brown hair was tangled and hung well past her shoulder; her clothes were an old pair of jeans and a too-big purple shirt; she was also very skinny.}
