this thread cracked me up. I live about 45 minutes from where the World Trade Center once stood.

sure, it was a national tragedy. bout 3500 people died (not 5000, Baze.. get yer numbers right).

The thing that sickens me the most about the whole incident though.. was how Bush used the WTC as a way to divert all media to US patriotism, rather than the obvious problems Bush was having leading the country.

Then Bush faught his little Afghan war.. which was a failure, if you really think about it. The one and ONLY objective was to get Osama, but of course the U.S haven't, and probably never will.

As for the whole world mourning the loss of 3500 americans.. sure, its sad as hell, but its hard to feel emotion for people you've never met. and that's just the truth. It doesn't mean that other countries don't care, it just means they have nothing to do with it.
