Hey Sarah,

I had been in ubf for like 15 to 20 years (1983 to 2001), both willingly and unwillingly. After I got out, was free to visit with dozens of former members. I can tell you that with each and every one of them, their reasons for leaving were totally different from what the ubf said about them behind their backs. It did not matter whether they were American or Korean, the ubf told nothing but lies about them. And most of them were the victims of lots of ubf abuses. There were no misunderstandigs, they simply decided they could not allow themselves to be abused anymore.

Personally, I feel the most damaging lies told me were those concerning my family. The ubf leaders interfered in my family in numerous ways. One of their methods, the one from which I decided not to participate in the ubf activities anymore, came from manipuating my former ubfwife. We had two small children and another on the way. We had no money and actually had alot of debt from student loans. the ubf leaders appointed my former ubfwife as a fulltime staff worker. They took up literally all her time and energy, but they were not willing to give our family any sort of support. You cannot imagine what our family life was like whent he mother of small children has no interest in caring for children, feeding them, bathing them, etc. Many times she just left them by themselves for hours while she played ubf at the UIC campus.

It made our family situation unsustainable. I would talk to EE Chang Woo and some other creeps like Sara Barry and Mark VC, and they all gave me the runaround. They said my former ubfwife was doing this all on her own, that ubf did not want her to spend all her time and energy playing ubf, they ONLY encouraged her to take good care of her family, nothing else. But my former ubfwife told a totally different story, that she had to do ubf all the time or she would be fired from her job as fulltime shepherdess, and she did not want to jeopardize this job and calling from God. And almost unbelievably, the ubfKoreans were going around saying that ubf was giving my family alot of financial support and look how ungrateful I was. One day I just sat down and decided I would not participate in the ubf activities untill this family problem was solved. You know what happened? That was basically the last time any of those so called leaders spoke to me again. That was 1992.

This is just one very small instance of the lies and deception by the ubfleaders. More recently, the ubfleaders in Chicago have orchestrated a divorce by my former ubfwife. She is the petitioner, that is the one who filed the divorce petition as a formal legal action. I am the respondent, that is the one who has to respond to the divorce petition. You can see it online right here, it shows very clearly that this ubfwife started a divorce when I actively opposed ubf. You can also search for toher ubf divorces, like Arthur M, Bob VM, etc. For Dr. Jim R's or Chris K's divorce you can go to the County Building and request the file, it is all public record.

The ubf has also been paying tens of thousands of dollars to her divorce lawyer. Yet they claim that I am the one behind the divorce, and that they are so greived that I filed for divorce. And since the divorce was started the ubf invented more and more lies about me.

Does this qualify for personal experience? There is so much more. I think the ubfleaders know alot more about the art of lie and deception than they do about the Bible.

There is no way to reconcile any of the stories with each other. They were all very deceptive, but the ubf works the deceptions to a point that nobody can make any sense out of what anyone says, so the only recourse is to believe the leaders. And that is the worst way to approach the ubf. If you are in ubf, the safe and sensible choice is to get out and never go back.
