Subject: They don't want to be confronted
In reply to: elia 's message, "well, my last post" on 16:03:47 04/14/05 Thu

I think Elia is good example of ubfpeople who just don't want to hear about the problem.

I know an alcoholic who was confronted by his friends. They triedvaroius ways: mean ways, they tried the nice ways, they begged and pleaded. The alcoholic came to the conclusion that his friends were just never going to stop confronting him. So his response was to get rid of the friends and move on. Any intelligent person will say that the alcoholic was in denial and did not want to face his problem. The alcoholic is trying to avoid the negative stigma of his problem, by distorting his thinking, and continuing to be a problem to himiself and others.

I feel that we are experiencing the same phenomena with ubfins. Elia came here in a somewhat friendly manner. His language had some elements of condescending and pride, but he was harmless. He did not want to discuss or acknowledge any abuse at ubf, he really wanted to talk about the famous hymn number 11 and about how they sing in his chapter.

When the forum members asked him 'why don't you dicuss any of the major problems and abuse etc at ubf?' then it seems Elia hardened his attitude. Elia never did discuss any of the abuses, he denied ubf has ever had any abuses, and now he has left with a slew of insults and more condescending.

Elia, I feel that your denial about ubf is a distortion of your thinking, and your distorted thinking will be a problem that will spill over to other areas of your life and everyone who you encounter. The level of your negative effect will not be the same to everyone, but there will be an effect.

Elia, the ubf is a cult because of the corrupt ubf leaders. Dealing with these corrupt leaders is the first step to helping the ubf. We on this forum will not practice denial, nor will we enable the corrupt ubf leaders to continue to harm the recruits. We are confronting the ubf, and you too Elia. We are not attacking you or anyone, we are confronting harmful people.

Overcoming your denial will be the starting place of a healthy Christian life for you and for all ubf memebrs. We who have overcome our denial are the healhty and happy ones. The ubfleaders prove that they are corrupt beyond redemption. Even the ones who got out of ubf have not made much progress because of their denial. We look forward to hearing from you.
