Subject: Family Abuse Analogy

To me UBF was like living in an abusive family. Suppose you are the youngest of four siblings. Suppose the three older ones suffered abuse and left while perhaps you yourself escaped abuse or did not realize you and your brothers and sisters were being abused? Perhaps it might take a while for you to figure it out, or perhaps you will not want to figure it out. In any event, what is the BEST way to handle such a problem?

1.) Should you simply deny that your siblings were abused?

2.) Should you admit they were abused, but just ignore it believing that the best thing is that everyone just forgets it and keeps it quiet?

3.) Should you try to confront your parents and ascertain the facts and seek to help them and your siblings get at the root of the problem so that healing and reconciliation can take place?

Which is the best solution? Which has UBF followed?
