Hey Jim,

Nice tesimony. It sounds to me like you really had a spiritual awakening, that at a definite point of your life you made a conscious decision to acknowledge God. Good for you.

Jim, I had something very similar, and wrote a very simialr testimony, and shared it at a ubf conference at Lake Geneva Wisconsin in front of a couple hundred people. It was exhilirating. But then I decided to commit to ubf, and it was kinda all downhill from there, ten years worth of downhill. After commiting to ub fin Chicago, it was like death by a thousand cuts.

I have a few questions, if you don't mind?

Were you involved in any Christian group or were you attending church with your family?

Were you having guilt and frustration in your relations with women, which may have made you pre-occupied with women?

Did you have anyone at all to talk to about your pre-occupations?

I am afraid that ubf tapped into you at a time that you were vulnerable and in need. The ubf has not tapped into you to only do you good, they tap into you to assimilate you into the ubf system.

Also, the euphoria of your change will wear off in ubf. Most people in ubf who havean experience like you can grow for about a year, and then after that will stagnate and become extremely frustrated. Why? Cause ubf is a group with limited scope, and it begins to repeat itself in annual cycles (all the Easter conferences are the same, recycle the same old manuscripts, look at the same old people and listen to the same old leaders and their lame old stories, etc. Stay in ubf for a couple years and you will get the definite feeling of deja vu!) and I say that ubf will take the euphoria away in a very short time. Your changes are reason to give glory to God, but to grow and reach your ptotential, you need to get out of ubf.

God bless you. Congratulations.
