Second gen, can you answer me one question that arises if we assume you are right.

How come that all the evil in UBF, like forced abortions, forced dicorves, arranged marriage abuse, Skokie and even worse abusive trainings, etc. suddenly stopped and disappeared from UBF?

Do you have any explanation?

Was it the fact that Samuel Lee died that caused so much good for UBF?

Or was it the fact that people criticized UBF and talked about reforms (then you should admit that sites like this served a good purpose at least for some time, right?)

Are then the reformers of 1977, 1989 and 2000 who denounced these very grievances that now supposedly have gone away, are they now rehabilitated in UBF or are they still called "rebels"?

How will you make sure that the old problems will not come back? Do you think you are simply better than the 1st generation and things like that will never happen simply because your are 2nd gens?

Can you answer any of these questions?

All this under the assumption that "things have changed", which I believe. But at the same time I believe that these are only cosmetical, pragmatic changes and concessions. But fundamentally and principally, it is clear that nothing has changed at all. There are cosmetic changes and things may be a bit more relaxed, but this is seen as a concession to not lose even you 2nd gens. In reality, the authoritarian role model Peter Chang in Bonn is still not only tolerated, but praised as exemplary. And, as I explained, nothing has changed unless the corrupt top leadership who had sanctioned, tolerated and carried out these evil things including forced abortions has repented, publically renounced, apologized, or this leadership is completely out of office which is not the case.

And, nothing has changed until UBF has thoroughly analyzed, processed and understood the root of the problems, caused by many unbiblical teachings and practices which are still prevalent in UBF, including the whole shepherding/discipling paradigm that has led to so much spiritual abuse in history already.

As long as UBF has not openly dealt with the problems of the past, they are not living in the light of God.

It is like a patient suffering from cancer. There may be times where he feels better, but the problem is not fundamentally solved until the cancer is diagnosed, admitted and cut away.
