"No one's forced to marry, if that is also what you're wondering. People can marry who they wish,..."

I was in UBF as late as August 2004 and my chapter leader arranged for me to marry a Korean shepherdess from one of the UBF chapters in Korea. I was given her picture when I was at the Bible conference. I was told to pray about this. During the last service that I attended at UBF (in August 2004), the missionaries urged me to go to Korea immediately and meet her. While it is true I was not being forced to marry her, I was being pressured to marry someone they chose for me. The pressure they apply to someone is their way of forcing one to do what they wish, and at the same time make it seem like it is the decision of the individual, when in reality it is not. The point I am making is that arranged marriages is still a practice in UBF.

"When I see this site, I don't see work of God but people with a goal to bring something down, not build anything up. What people are you bringing to Christ through this site? More importantly, does this site really make you closer to Christ?"

"...but it is evident that this site does not promote the work of God,..."

I just want to tell you about my experience with this site. After three years in UBF, I prayed for wisdom concerning being in UBF, whether or not I should stay in UBF or go to another church. For the next year I knew that I needed to leave UBF; something about UBF just didn't seem right. It did not seem normal for the director to say "you must obey me"; or for the director to ask me to sell my house and move close to him. In my final days at UBF, it seemed like UBF was the standard, not Jesus Christ.

I finally got the idea to search on the computer for something that would tell me about UBF. I was stunned when I found this site. I read how UBF had been kicked out of the NEA, how the shepherd/sheep system is wrong, how UBF controls the sheep through false teachings of authority, ect....and I could go on for about 50 pages. The first thing I did was GIVE PRAISE TO JESUS for this site. Thank God for this site, the Lord used this site to open my eyes and see that UBF is a cult. The Lord is definatley moving in this site, if one person comes out of UBF as a result of this site, then it is well worth it.

Concerning your friend, my guess is that when she saw this site she realized UBF is a cult. People do not always tell you the real reason they do things, it may be that she just said that she was "confused" and that she is rejecting "Christianity" so that she would not have to tell you the real reason, that UBF is a cult. I may be wrong about your friend, but the fact that she is not in UBF is enough for me to say that God is working in this site.
