There are UBF leaders meetings throughout the country in which the topic of discussion is how UBF must again endure persecution from those who do not 'understand' them. Jesus said that his disciples will be persecuted for preaching God's word. The Korean leaders will use the Columbus news story to verify that they are being persecuted and thus are doing God's work.
UBF leaders forget the scripture from 1 Peter in which Peter tells Christians that they should not claim they are persecuted when they are being punished for doing wrong. Only when we do right and are punished can we claim to be persecuted. These news stories and websites that speak out against UBF occur because UBF has wronged many people. Instead of claiming they are persecuted, UBF should admit they have wronged many people.
