A man in Chicago Gary 'Jeremiah' Cowen became very sick for several years. When he first got ill, he was reviled and maltreated by EE Chang Woo, who accused him of faking his illness. It was a very vocal and even violent treatment that EE put forth for him. Thru ubfKoreans they did things like stomp on his hands when he fell down, or take him outside the Chicago Revenue Center and turn on the hose and soak him to humiliate him. Lots of cursing at him during meetings.

But when it was confirmed that he was seriously ill, then he seemd to be totally removed from the public view at ubf. Nobody ever mentioned his name. I have no idea how his wife treated him. But the treatment from ubf leadership was just ungodly. I heard from one ubfKorean nurse woman that she used to go visit him in the hospital to pray with him, by her own intiative. Other than that, I never heard anyone ever mention his name.

I think ubf leadership hate non-Korean people who get sick. I have never heard that they were so ungodly with one of their own. I agree wiht Chris, ubf marriage vow is n't worth anything except as a basis to force the couple to stay on board as ubfins. And the practical reasons for that is make the couple recruit for ubf, donate money for ubf, and make babies for future ubf. There is really no other reason to marry at ubf. True love has no place in a ubf marriage. Sorry.
