People given unchallenged power over a group of people seem to find the vile digusting methods of treating their subordinates. This includes African slavery in the Americas, Nazi concentration camps, war prison camps, and military.
Fraternities and soroities participate in horrible activities to initiate members into the group. These groups propose that members of the group are brothers and sisters, friends for life. It has always amazed me that people who say they are brothers and sisters would willfully think up ways to abuse others in the name of unity. The victims become so enveloped by the group that they cannot wait until they can administer abuse to new recruits. Each new group of victims either is sadistic and wants to abuse as they were abused or they are convinced by the group that the abuse was good for them, so they should be willing to impose the same abuse on the next group.

This also compares to UBF in that when sheep endure mistreatment and abuse, they look forward to an opportunity to train new recruits. After I received abusive training the first time, I was told how great I was for accepting and enduring the training. Therefore, I thought that the human-centered training imposed by UBF leaders was good for me and that I should impose it on my sheep. I gave training to one sheep. I was thinking up ideas for how I could help him repent of his sins and be a raised as a disciple of Jesus. I looked for some scriptures to justify what I wanted to do. I thought I was such a good shepherd because I was training my sheep as I was trained. Only after enduring a second lengthy training, God opened my eyes to see that UBF human-centered training was not based on scripture, but on misguided human ideas. Then I could repent and stop the trend of mistreatment and abuse. Umfortunately, when I repented and attempted to stop abusive behavior, I was told that I was worshipping my own Christ and not the Christ of the gospels. That seems to be the rule in UBF when a member realizes that UBF's training practices are unBiblical.

In Christ,

PECAS
